Conservative newsman and commentator Bill O’Reilly concurred this week that “The View” is a hotbed of “hatred,” “propaganda,” and “vitriol.”
He was appearing on fitness guru Jillian Michaels’ podcast when she surprisingly accused the show of being nothing more than “propaganda and vitriol.”
“When I watch ‘The View,’ it is nothing but propaganda and vitriol,” she said.
O’Reilly immediately concurred.
Listen:
“That has hurt ABC News because ABC News controls ‘The View,’” O’Reilly said. “So I’ve been on ‘The View’ 20 times, but that was when Barbara Walters was there. That hatred didn’t exist. You still had Behar and Whoopi. You had them. They were kind of not censored, but there was a different feel to it.”
“Now it’s like, your head’s going to blow off. They only have two million people watching them. Why does ABC News want to ruin their brand by this? So Disney is going to have to take ‘The View’ over. That’ll happen pretty soon,” he added.
“It’s all about emotion for the ladies [these days]. They live in a giant New York City emotion bubble. Living in a bubble is not good for anybody. So they hear every time, every place what they want to hear. They believe what they want to believe. It’s a comfort zone. It’s kind of like a little tranquilizer,” he concluded.
The big problem for “The View” is that virtually every host is a leftist. Some hosts like Alyssa Farah Griffin purport to be conservative yet habitually side with their self-professed leftist co-hosts.
Meghan McCain, who herself used to be a co-host, noted this point in a tweet posted after President-elect Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential election victory last month.
“It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn’t one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn’t repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular,” she wrote.

Michaels also took note of this during her interview with O’Reilly.
“‘The View’ was intended to be a show with differing points of view, and now they are just completely captured — one message only, can never admit when something’s wrong,” she said.
As an example, she cited the way the hosts of “The View” all responded to President Joe Biden issuing a blanket, 10-year pardon to his son.
“They’re like, ‘I can’t believe you guys are clutching your pearls — only a good father would do that,’” she said. “And it’s not that anyone’s clutching their pearls. It’s the fact that you jumped down Trump’s throat for doing things of a similar nature, acting as though you’re the better people and you’re the better party.”
“And it’s the hypocrisy. It’s like, can’t you just admit they’re all kind of gangsters? All politicians are gangsters. But they don’t admit it, and it’s exactly that that makes you go alright, can’t trust anything you guys say,” she added.
When The View hosts bring up the Hunter Biden pardon they immediately deflect away and begin talking about how bad Trump is, and that Trump also has pardoned people, and how it’s a President‘s prerogative. They completely distract from the point.

Earlier in the interview, O’Reilly praised his former employer, Fox News, for having “learned its lesson” after being sued by Dominion. However, he then warned that the other networks — particularly ABC News — haven’t learned their lesson yet.
“Now, I think Fox, FNC, because I know everybody over there, has learned its lesson,” he said. “A billion dollars might do that, but the others, I mean, they are peddling hate on MSNBC. I can’t figure it out because that’s Comcast. They’re killing their own brand. I know Lester Holt. He’s a solid guy. But he’s being tainted by Rachel Maddow.”
“I mean, and you can’t see that? Why are they permitting it? CNN went so far left, they’re trying to come back now. They even actually booked me for confronting the president. That shocked me and my people. But it’s easy to peddle hate. The haters get attention. They can get a small audience and they can make money. That’s why it’s happening,” he added.
