Barack Obama spoke last night at the Obama Democracy Forum in Chicago which is supposed to be an event focusing on pluralism, an idea that a variety of beliefs can coexist, even ones held by Republicans.

However, he got a little sidetracked at one point and went off on a tangent about how pluralism isn’t actually a solution when you’ve got someone like Donald Trump in office.

Listen to this, because these are marching orders if I’ve ever heard them from Obama.

There are going to be times potentially when one side tries to stack the deck and lock in a permanent grip on power, either by actively suppressing votes or politicizing the armed forces or using the judiciary, criminal justice system to go after opponents.

And in those circumstances, pluralism does not call for us to just stand back and say, ‘well, I’m not sure; that’s okay.’ In those circumstances a line has been crossed and we have to stand firm.

So we all know what a permanent grip on power is. He’s implying that Trump will become a dictator at the ripe age of 78. But as long as we’re talking “permanent grips on power,” I gotta ask, why does it seem like Obama has a permanent grip on power inside of the Democratic Party? It’s like it’s his party now and everyone must kiss the ring. Just an observation.

Obama implies that it’s Republicans who rig elections, not Democrats. I’m not even going to go there, cuz we all remember what happened overnight during the 2020 election.

Obama mentions using the justice system to go after political opponents, which is interesting, cuz…

That line at the end, “in those circumstances, a line has been crossed and we have to stand firm,” is something else.

Essentially, we can infer that he’s saying when Trump takes office he’ll automatically be doing all of these bad things (because the media will tell you he’s doing these bad things) and then lefties must “stand firm” against it.

That’s honestly kind of scary, and I’m thinking we’re going to see a resurgence of the BLM movement, the Antifa movement, and some real grassroots, I’m-in-a-cult activism out of the Left over the next four years.

These are marching orders whether you like it or not.
