Transgender activists invaded a women’s restroom at the U.S. Capitol to protest a new Republican rule that prohibits men from using the facilities with multiple arrests being made.

On Thursday, a pack of troublemakers from the Gender Liberation Movement along with Chelsea Manning, the notorious leaker of classified military information, stormed the restroom which they occupied until Capitol Police intervened.

The men dressed up as women displayed banners reading “Flush Bathroom Bigotry” and “Congress Stop P*ssing on Our Rights” while chanting “Speaker Johnson, Nancy Mace, our genders are not a debate!,” referring to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) who took a courageous stand to protect the rights of women and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) who recently unveiled the rule restricting use to real women only.

“Approximately 15 people were arrested for D.C. Code § 22–1307 – Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding – for illegally protesting inside the Cannon House Office Building,” a Capitol Police spokesperson told the New York Post, identifying the former Bradley Manning as one of those who was taken into custody.

“If you don’t want to pee in the men’s bathroom, you can pee in a holding cell,” Mace said in a post to X.

“From leaking state secrets to taking leaks in the women’s restroom, just can’t seem to get it right,” she wrote of Manning.

“I’m here today because every person deserves dignity and respect, both in daily life and in more symbolic places like the U.S. Capitol,” Manning said in a statement to CNN.

“As someone who has fought against similar rules, I know what it’s like to feel pushed aside and erased,” he added. “But I also know the incredible power and resilience our community has. I’m not here as a leader or a spokesperson but simply as another member of my community who shows up unconditionally to support my siblings in this fight. I will stand beside them no matter what. We didn’t start this fight, but we are together now.”

To put it lightly, X users weren’t down with the struggle.

The new restroom rule is a reaction to the election of transgender Democrat Sarah McBride, a man who pretends he’s a woman, and the angry reaction from female lawmakers led by Mace.

“All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,” Johnson said in a statement, adding “Women deserve women’s only spaces.”
