Last month, during an episode of the extremely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, host Joe Rogan and X/Twitter owner Elon Musk discussed the Community Notes feature on Musk’s X platform.

It can be recalled that Rogan endorsed President Trump in the 2024 election after interviewing him on the show in October. “If it wasn’t for him, we’d be f*cked,” Joe Rogan said.

Kamala Harris turned down the invitation to sit with Joe Rogan for an interview.

During the episode with Elon Musk, Rogan expressed his gratitude for the Community Notes feature, which fact checks posts with accurate information provided by other users. Rogan applauded the feature, stating, “Community Notes is the best. It’s awesome. It’s incredible because everybody gets checked.”

Unlike leftwing fact checkers who don’t source their information and often just flat-out lie, Community Notes uses sourced material and can be voted on by other users to determine whether or not the information is reliable.

The Gateway Pundit has reported on several Community Notes, more often on dishonest liberals, which debunked misinformation from the left.

Musk said, “The counter to misinformation is better information.”

Watch below:

Rogan: Community Notes is the best. It’s awesome. It’s incredible because everybody gets checked.

Musk: Yes, including me, and with community notes, all the software is open source, and all the data is open source, so you can recreate any given node independently.

Rogan: That’s amazing. That’s how it should be.

Musk: It is total, absolute transparency in every way. You know, sometimes I get asked like, ‘Oh, Elon, can remove my note,’ you know, mostly by the left, sometimes, by the right; I’m like, I don’t even remove notes on my own account, nothing. And by the way, everything is totally open. So, if I did that, it would stick out like a sore thumb immediately. Like, it’s not going to be subtle.

Rogan: That is the best counter to misinformation.

Musk: Yes, absolutely.

Rogan: Let everybody look at it and say, ‘Okay, here’s what the actual facts say.’

Musk: Yes, exactly. The counter to misinformation is better information.
