Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), who voted for Joe Biden’s woke Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, said on Thursday that she is not yet a “yes” vote on Pete Hegseth after meeting with him privately.
The media has been attacking Pete Hegseth, President Trump’s nominee for Defense Secretary, with leaks about a years-old sexual assault allegation that was already investigated by police and proven to be false.
The fake news media, citing anonymous sources, also attacked Pete Hegseth for his so-called drinking problem.
NBC News, citing 10 current and former Fox News employees, reported that Pete Hegseth’s drinking worried his colleagues.
Joni Ernst said she still needs to continue the vetting process because of the allegations against Pete Hegseth.
“We will continue with the vetting process. We had a very frank and productive discussion,” Joni Ernst said on Fox News.
“It doesn’t sound on your answer you’ve gotten to a ‘yes…’” said Fox News host Bill Hemmer.
“You are right. For a number of our senators, they want to make sure that any allegations have been cleared,” Joni Ernst said.
“All I will say at this time is we had a very thorough discussion,” Ernst said.

Joni Ernst is eager to believe debunked allegations and fake news media reports with anonymous sources about Pete Hegseth, but she expected her constituents to believe her when she denied having an affair while serving in the military.
Recall that Joni Ernst’s ex-husband accused her of having an affair with a subordinate soldier while she was in the military.
Ernst denied the allegations.
