Tiffany Henyard, the scandal-ridden mayor of Dolton, Illinois, was enraged after losing a small bit of the power critics say she is drunk on.

Henyard lost her nomination for Thornton Township supervisor, with her name not even being allowed on the ballot. While she currently holds this position, she was removed due to not properly filling out her ticket. All nominees are expected to provide names for a supervisor, highway director, clerk, assessor, and four trustees, but Henyard did not include an assessor on her ticket.

Napoleon Harris, who is currently serving as an Illinois state senator and Thornton Township Democratic committeeman, won the nomination instead. This sent the “super mayor” into full meltdown mode.

“You didn’t run none of this the right way,” she reportedly said. “Illegal, Napoleon.”

She also declared that the process was unfair, but Harris rejected this line of thinking. It’s worth noting that this caucus was the first time in 30 years the system was used to decide who would be on the ballot.

“People in Thornton Township may be new to caucuses because they haven’t had them in a while, but this has been the tradition for many other townships around the state,” Harris explained.

It is still possible for Henyard to make it onto the ballot as a write-in candidate or Independent, but it doesn’t currently seem like this is the direction she intends to take. Instead, she fumed at her defeat and shouted threats of litigation, claiming she would sue everyone involved.

While the scandal-plagued official may have lost this nomination, she is also running for re-election as mayor in Dolton. She is currently undergoing an investigation by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and has been accused of not only stealing funds but also of attempting to intimidate political opponents and business owners.

She has declared that she will win the race in a “landslide,” comparing her assumed victory to that of President-elect Donald Trump.
