The higher ups at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in India are pulling out ALL of the stops in order to bring “positive energy” to campus.

On the advice of some astrologer, the university is going to house 5-7 cows on campus to fix low student scores and poor administration.

(No really. They’re actually doing this.)

From the Indian Express:

Sources in the VNSGU said the decision to keep cows on the campus and look after them was taken after advice from an astrologer following recent problems hitting the university such as paper leak, low pass percentage of students in undergraduate courses, delay in tendering process for different works, and other issues.

Imagine thinking of a way to improve test scores and then someone invites a stargazer in who tells you, “Have you thought about placing some cows around campus?”

Apparently, Hindus think that idea is, and I quote, “🔥”

The school had already planned to tear down its administration building, and now the cows will be housed in the new building. In the meantime, because it’s apparently very important that these cows start working their magic right away, the cows will live on the construction site.

I’m sure the students will be computing quantum mechanics in no time!

VNSGU Vice Chancellor Dr K N Chawda told The Indian Express, ‘The Jyotish expert suggested that if five to seven cows are kept for one month at the location of the new building, and they are given special care, it will generate positive energy and help the administration run the premises smoothly. We have contacted a few NGOs and sought their help in providing a few cows, which would be kept on the varsity campus inside a temporary shed. An NGO will visit us in the next few days.’

The school also plans to use the bovines to teach cow-related programs and workshops to help students begin work in cow-related industries.

So, I guess there’s a practical purpose. These cows are multi-disciplinary!

Maybe they could use them for a fashion school as well.
