POMONA, CA — Local woman Shandy Beauregard has already spent $1,000 of her $500 Christmas bonus, much to the amazement of her husband.
According to a Target receipt intercepted by TMZ, Shandy purchased a brand new wardrobe, a convertible clutch handbag, and the complete series set of NCIS: Hawaii.
“I know it sounds like a lot of money, but everything was on sale and I only used my bonus money, so in a way, I saved thousands of dollars,” Shandy explained. “Just think of the savings!”
When reached for comment, her husband Richard said, “My wife keeps track of the finances. I have given up.”
According to Christian financial expert Dave Ramsey, Shandy’s problem is that she’s a woman. She needs to let her husband put money in tiny envelopes like a good submissive wife and stop spending money she doesn’t have. However, financial expert Nina Sylvanas provided a contradictory perspective. She says Shandy’s spending spree is typical of women in her demographic and that she should feel no shame. “After all, think of the savings,” she writes in her new book, Think Of The Savings.
At publishing time, Richard Beauregard had finally confronted his wife about her spending habits. Shandy resolved to make it up to him by buying him a $2000 gift using her husband’s $1,000 Christmas bonus.
