In the past year, Hollywood celebrities have threatened to move if Trump wins and some have actually fled the United States after his victory. Today’s show breaks down why the countries they moved to are not free like America.

In one example, Ellen DeGeneres moved to London after the election. However, as she is a comedian, it seems bizarre she would live somewhere that criminalized “offensive” language that authorities believe is insulting or can “stir up hatred.”
Last year, a woman was arrested in the UK for praying silently outside an abortion clinic, which is something that authorities would never get away with in the United States.
“In the United States, that would be a point where political violence is the only solution,” Crowder said. “This country is founded upon your right to pray out loud.”
In another instance last year, a man was jailed for a “sticker campaign” that authors believed “stirred up racial hatred.”
In another instance, Eva Longoria moved out of the country and is reportedly splitting her time between Mexico and Spain.
According to the BBC:
In an interview with French magazine Marie Claire for its November cover story, Longoria attributed the decision to the country’s “changing vibe” after the Covid-19 pandemic, homelessness and high taxation in California, and the re-election of Donald Trump.
She also acknowledged she was “privileged” enough to move, saying: “Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country.”
It’s unclear why she does not have a problem with Mexico, as the current president was elected in the country’s deadliest election in Mexican history.
In Spain, they also don’t allow Freedom of Expression, as it’s illegal to be mean to police officers. So it’s strange how she believes the United States is “dystopian” while these other countries are not.
“Any leftist celebrity who talks about freedom or holds up a peace symbol should be deported. You can’t hold up a peach symbol and oppose the most peaceful president in our lifetime,” Crowder added. “The mask is off.”
