House and Senate Republicans are set to meet with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and former 2024 GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Thursday to discuss ways to cut government waste under the new Department of Government Efficiency.
Musk and Ramswamy are reportedly planning to attend the first meeting of the Senate DOGE Caucus, which is chaired by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa.
The bicameral meeting organized by House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is scheduled to take place on Capitol Hill later in the afternoon.
