ABC’s The View was forced yet again to issue another legal note regarding the panel’s recent comments about President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth.

On Monday, co-host Sunny Hostin issued a statement after co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin commented on a private email sent by Hegseth’s mother.

The email detailed a family dispute in which Hegseth’s mother accused him of mistreating his ex-wife.

However, Hegseth’s mom has since apologized for the statement, stating she made the comments while in an emotional state.

“It is not true. It has never been true,” she said

“I know my son. He is a good father, husband.”

She also slammed the left-wing outlet for releasing the private email, calling it “disgusting.”

While discussing the Trump cabinet picks, Hostin began with by saying, “I have a very quick statement.”

“It’s not gonna be that quick,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg interjected.

“Pete Hegseth has denied any wrongdoing, his lawyers said he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit,” host Hostin said with a stone cold expression on her face.

“No charges were ever brought.”

The legal notes came just a week after the show issued another “legal note” on Matt Gaetz regarding allegations against him.

During a discussion of the Cabinet picks, Hostin said:

“Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations, calling the claims ‘invented’, and saying in a statement to ABC News that this false smear, following a three-year criminal investigation, should be viewed with great scepticism.”

“The DOJ investigation was closed with no charges being brought.”
