If you think President Biden is the leader of a crime family and everything he says is a a lie, father pardoning son despite numerous vows he would never do so comes as something other than a surprise. When Joe pardoned Hunter yesterday, however, he prefaced it with a laughable statement. The White House has posted the text of the statement and the pardon here.
Biden actually includes this proposition in the preface: “For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth.” The proposition is refuted by the pardon itself. Like the man from Crete who propounded the famous paradox, Biden may as well have declared: “All Bidens are liars.” What a pathetic farce.
We can hear Uncle Jim in the distance moaning what about me? Perhaps Biden’s statement should have included a “coming soon” preview.
Miranda Devine is the official chronicler of the Biden crime family. Her New York Post column on the denouement is posted here. Her response on X is below.
We always knew Joe Biden would pardon his son Hunter, no matter how many times he promised he wouldn’t.
So it is fitting that one of the final acts of this mendacious president before leaving office was to break yet another promise to the American people.

Disgraceful Pardon

Devine recalls “the IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler who told Congress the truth about the years-long political obstruction of their investigation to favor Hunter and hide Joe’s involvement in the family influence-peddling schemes.” They deserve reinstatement, bonuses, and Presidential Medals of Freedom.
I await the statement of the 51 former intelligence officers vouching for the righteousness of the pardon. The story won’t be over until we hear from them. Secretary of State Antony Blinken must have some time on his hands. Surely he can round up his old gang for a last hurrah.
