There is only one true statement in President Biden’s distasteful, hypocritical pardon of his son: “It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.”

Indeed. Had Hunter Biden not been the son of a vice president, he would not have been able to earn millions as a political fixer for companies and con artists around the world.

Had Hunter not been the scion of a presidential candidate, his numerous crimes of tax evasion, failing to register as a foreign agent, and gun violations would not have been delayed and ignored, nor would he have been given a sweetheart plea deal.

Had Hunter not been the son of a Democrat whom the media desperately needed to beat Donald Trump, his unethical misdeeds would not have been ignored by journalists.

Had Hunter’s family and friends not been plugged into the deep state, then the truth about his abandoned laptop would not have been censored by Facebook and Twitter, cowed as they were by Democratic-aligned intelligence officials.

So yes, Hunter Biden was treated differently — his entire life has been that of a spoiled man-child who has coasted on his family name, dodged all responsibilities, and failed upward.

Joe Biden has told a farrago of lies about Hunter’s misdeeds. It was all “Russian disinformation” — except everything was true. It was “attacking him because of his addictions.” Certainly one would question why a Ukrainian gas company and Chinese energy executives would pay Hunter Biden $11 million when he was, by his own admission, a barely functioning crack addict. But no one was “attacking” or mocking his struggles with drug use. They were questioning what Hunter was promising in terms of his access to the White House, and why Joe Biden didn’t tell him to stop it.

Hunter’s plea deal wasn’t thrown out because of political pressure. It was tossed because a shocked judge realized no ordinary citizen would ever be given the deference given the president’s son. It was a political deal, meant to cover up the entire sordid episode ahead of an election.

And now, months later, as Joe Biden shambles to the door, all the lofty talk about “trusting the justice system” and “accepting norms” goes out the window. All the cases against Donald Trump are righteous and warranted. But the case against Hunter Biden, he claims, is simply political.

“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son — and that is wrong,” Biden writes.

Well, 50% of the country just voted against the administration, we would imagine many of them qualify as unreasonable. Hunter Biden is a hustler. The Democrats know it, the media knows it. They just chose to look the other way. Now Hunter is getting away with it. Why? Because not all of us have a president for a father who can do what just weeks ago he denied he would do.

Hunter Biden has been treated differently. And it’s a damn scandal.
