Old Ukrainian soldiers.

Before he leaves office, lame duck President Joe Biden is making his best (worse) to escalate the situation of the war in Ukraine.

Authorizing MATO-supplied long-range missile strikes inside Russian territory, discussing sending anti-personnel land-mines, trying to find some more last-minute funding to send to Kiev.

Now, it is reported that the outgoing Biden regime is urging Ukraine to quickly lower the age of conscription from 25 to 18 to increase the size of its forces and keep fighting Russia.

Daily Mail reported:

“A senior Biden administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said today that the outgoing administration wants Ukraine to lower the conscription age to help expand its pool of fighting-age men as the war approaches its fourth year.”

As you would expect, the otherwise good report from the Mail indulges in a lot of fictional data from Kiev, like suggesting that Russia has had more dead and wounded soldiers than Ukraine – which is ludicrous.

So, allow me to break away and bring the real data: Ukraine has 532.000 dead soldiers including 8.500 officers. There’s also those that deserted – as much as 100k.

Russian forces have lost a total of 78,329 soldiers.

The ratio of dead is 6,7 Ukrainians to every Russian.

Back to the Mail report, they are obliged to acknowledge that Russia’s land forces are bigger now than at the beginning of the war.

Biden is escalating by allowing US-made missiles for Ukrainian strikes into Russian territory.

Biden team has pushed more than $56bn in security assistance to Ukraine since the start of the conflict, and is trying to send as much more as it can before Trump arrives.

“The Biden official said today ‘the pure math’ of Ukraine’s situation now is that it needs more troops in the fight to combat Russia’s replenishing army. ‘The need right now is manpower,’ he told reporters. ‘The Russians are in fact making progress, steady progress, in the east, and they are beginning to push back Ukrainian lines in Kursk… Mobilization and more manpower could make a significant difference at this time as we look at the battlefield today’.”

There’s a dystopian bit in the report in which it is said that US officials are insisting with Ukraine to act aggressively against soldiers who desert or go absent without leave.

“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been hearing concerns from allies in other western capitals that Ukraine has a troop level problem and not an arms problem, according to European officials. […] Ukraine has taken steps to broaden the pool of draft-eligible men, but the efforts have only scratched the surface against a much larger Russian military.”

In April, Kiev lowered the draft age for men from 27 to 25, and removed most draft exemptions,

“Some Ukrainians have expressed worry that further lowering the minimum conscription age and taking more young adults out of the workforce could backfire by further harming the war-ravaged economy.”
