The ladies on The View continue to struggle with all the winning President-elect Donald J. Trump is posting of late.

On Tuesday’s show, co-host Sunny Hostin served up her own version of reality while whining about Special Counsel Jack Smith moving to abandon two criminal cases against Trump on Monday.

She then shared her frustration with those who said the 2024 election was about kitchen table issues, claiming Trump never spoke about economic issues.

“Most people are saying, ‘Well this was a kitchen table issue, this was about the cost of eggs.’ Donald Trump never talked about the price of eggs,” Hostin insisted.

Fox News offered a fact-check on Hostin’s dubious claim:

Despite Hostin’s allegation, Trump spoke about the high cost of eggs multiple times during his campaign. He shared an infographic to Truth Social in September showing how various grocery staples were more expensive under the Biden administration than they were under Trump.

In addition to showing that milk prices were up, as well as the price of ham and chicken, Trump’s graphic pointed out that the price of a case of eggs was up $2 from during his administration.

The irony here is that cohost Whoopi Goldberg, who was suddenly singing a new tune, cautioned her fellow harpies about criticizing Trump.

“Pissing in the wind doesn’t help—you just get a wet face,” she said, before adding, “You lose credibility in many different ways. If you don’t know what you’re talking about and you accuse him of something, then they’re going to blow it back. That’s why I say we need to wait and see.”

Turns out, as social media users noted, based on the false claim Hostin may be reading yet another legal notice on the show before the week is out.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X:
