President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday night announced that the director of policy and speechwriting on his presidential campaign, will serve as the director of the Domestic Policy Council in his second administration.

Trump has been spending the first few weeks after winning reelection earlier this month by nominating people for his incoming Cabinet, and making other critical appointments, including his White House staff.

The former president said that Vince Haley, who has a law degree and a masters in foreign policy, will help shape his domestic agenda as the director of the Domestic Policy Council.

“Vince is very well-educated, and has a brilliant mind for Policies that work for the American People,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “Vince helped lead the Speechwriting Department in my First Administration, working to convey our message to the Public.”

Trump also said Haley would help him deliver on the “mandate” that voters allegedly put on the Republican Party by electing them to lead the Executive and legislative branches of the government. Republicans won the White House, Senate, and maintained control of the House of Representatives.

“As Director of the Domestic Policy Council, Vince will help make life better for ALL Americans, and unify our Country through SUCCESS,” Trump said. “Together, we will defeat Inflation, rapidly bring down Prices, secure the Southern Border, cut Taxes and Regulations, reignite Growth, build the Greatest Economy in History and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
