MSNBC’s resident wacko Joy Reid is urging Democrats to stay away from their pro-Trump family members at Thanksgiving.

In a rant uploaded to her social media channels, the MSNBC host insisted that Democrats have every right to feel afraid of people who do not agree with them politically and should therefore shun them at Thanksgiving.

She explained:

People are rightfully alarmed. They have a reason to be alarmed. And if you would vote for that, people may not feel so confident that they’re safe with you. This is not crazy. This is legitimate feelings of fear of you and a feeling that you might not be someone they could trust.

If this thing goes way south, autocracies go south real fast, and things get ugly, and people get asked to do things, and turn people in, and point people out, and turn on them.

And if you’re voting affirmatively, gleefully for this, people might, I don’t know, may not feel so confident in you anymore. That’s real, and you kind of have to live with it.

So if you think that you can vote for what people see as their just destruction and then demand that they still are cool with you, and kiki with you, and have Thanksgiving with you, like, I think you’re kind of missing the point of what people are upset about.

They’re afraid. And autocracy and fascism are things that are legitimate to be afraid of. So you may want to step back.

Reid made similar comments on her show last week while interviewing Dr. Amanda Calhoun, a third-year Psychiatry Resident at Yale School of Medicine who is actively advocating that people shun their family members following Trump’s victory.

She said at the time:

If you are an LGBTQ person and you know someone in your family voted essentially against your rights or you’re a woman, knowing that this man was calling people the B-word, JD Vance was literally calling Kamala Harris ‘the trash.’ And ‘We’re going to take out the trash,’ I know a lot of black women were incredibly triggered by that.

And if you then meet somebody and you know they voted for the people who called you trash, or if you’re Puerto Rican and you know someone voted that way, do you recommend, just from a psychological standpoint, being around them? We got the holidays coming up.

While Reid’s comments may sound the like the rantings of a deranged lunatic, many people are taking them extremely seriously.

Thousands, if not millions of Democrats are indeed planning to shun and exclude their loved ones over Thanksgiving and Christmas, ripping apart many families in the process.

Reid, meanwhile, will carry on living in her left-wing bubble, unaware of the pain and heartache she has encouraged people to inflict upon those they are supposed to love the most.
