Ellen DeGeneres allegedly packed up her wife Portia de Rossi and her estimated $450-500 million net worth and moved to England in response to Donald Trump being elected president for a second time.

That’s according to The Wrap, which cited a person close to DeGeneres to report that the couple “moved to rural England, put their Montecito estate on the market and plan to never return to the United States, telling friends the election of Donald Trump was their primary motivation.”

All of which prompted Elon Musk to troll the comedian and TV host, responding with a raised eyebrow emoji to a post suggesting there may have been another reason DeGeneres was eager to flee the country — the post included a 2016 tweet wishing P Diddy a happy birthday.

The dated tweet from The Ellen Show account read, “Happy birthday, P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I call him, Cuddle McSnugglestuff. You don’t need to know why.”

Of course, Sean “Diddy” Combs is sitting in jail today after being ordered held without bail following his arrest for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Reports of P Diddy’s “freak offs” are all over the Internet and his infamous parties included a who’s who of A-list celebrities, with the guest lists including Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, and Jennifer Lopez. Jay-Z and Beyoncé were also known to make an occasional appearance.

“DeGeneres has already moved to the Cotswolds, a rural area in south-central England, the person said, adding that her Montecito mansion, roughly 90 minutes north of Los Angeles, has been pocket-listed or will be listed soon,” The Wrap reported, after noting “a fresh start couldn’t hurt: DeGeneres has been open about being ‘kicked out of show business’ after reports of toxic workplace behavior at the syndicated ‘Ellen’ show in 2022.”

On that note, DeGeneres let it be known over the summer that she was planning on dropping off the map — England qualifying along that line.

While talking to a fan during her “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up” tour, the comedian said when asked about her plans, “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”

Musk’s post trolling Ellen prompted plenty of responses, including a good number of hilarious memes.

Here’s a quick sampling of the fare, as seen on Musk’s free speech platform:
