When you think about it, Republicans have really gotten a twofer from the 2024 presidential election. We can celebrate the victory of Donald Trump and Republicans taking both the House and the Senate. And as an added bonus because of that, we also get the sheer entertainment of watching the left melt down like popsicles in July. While all of the leftist panic about how Trump is going to take away women’s rights and use the military to get back at political enemies is thoroughly enjoyable, now, they think they have another way they can stick it to Trump.

Their latest Wile E. Coyote-like caper, they will not buy anything for the next four years. Wait what? Yep, that’s right. Leftists, in their infinite wisdom, have decided they can ruin the Trump economy by just not participating in it. What a “strategy.” Why aren’t these people at the Pentagon? In just a sample of some of this brilliance, one non-participant in the upcoming Trump economy said this on X:

“Trump will not have a good economy because we don’t have to let him. I myself plan on paying my bills and saving every penny beyond that. I will not contribute to this economy in any other way.” 

They went on to say that they had a plan to “strategically purchase clothing,” see, I told you there was a strategy, “before he takes office and make sure I have everything I need for the next four years.” The “strategy” continued with:

pledging to refrain from eating out “unless it is an emergency that cannot be avoided.” Further, there will be no going to the movies, sporting events, “or any local attractions. 

“New furniture or household goods will wait until 2028. I’m going to install a few other search bars and avoid Google as much as possible. I will not buy a new car before 2028. I will do everything in my power to hold on to as many dollars as possible.”

It was then time for the brilliant economic minds of the left to chime in. One stated: 

“Over the next four years, I highly suggest folks tighten their belts and spend as little as possible, except for the essentials like food, utilities, rent, etc. After riding the coattails of President Biden’s AMAZING economy for his first six months in office, trump is going to destroy it with his dumb policies. Not buying extra s**t will help sink his economy too. It won’t be hard, since everything will be 300% more expensive. Save that money. PASS IT ON.”

Other lefty bobbleheads agreed that Trump would be “tanking” another great economy, apparently having no clue about the 40-year high inflation during Joe Biden’s time in office, causing soaring gas and food prices, which was the reason millions of Americans voted for Trump. They also must not have been aware of the fact that the economy was the number one issue for voters going into the election. But no matter, it’s all about hating Trump.

So, just so I understand, for the next four years, we can assume that some of these leftists will now become budding survivalists? As if we weren’t having enough fun watching them now. Wonder if they will buy that food that lasts 25 years?
