Former CIA Director John Brennan was raked over the coals for his criticism of Tulsi Gabbard as the director of national intelligence.

The 69-year-old lacked all self-awareness as he ripped into President-elect Donald Trump’s pick of Gabbard, a former Democratic Representative for Hawaii, whom he called an “apologist” for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, Brennan melted down over Gabbard in the potential role in the upcoming Trump administration, ironically declaring the military veteran is unqualified suggesting she could not be “apolitical.”

“What would having her in charge, in the role of national director of intelligence mean for the intelligence apparatus of the U.S. government? ” the host of “Inside with Ken Psaki,” asked Brennan, touting his “four years” as CIA director.

“I think there’s so much uncertainty about what Miss Gabbard would bring to the job,” Brennan replied.

“So many of her substantive comments as well as her previous actions have called into question whether or not she has a good understanding of global politics and the U.S. role there,” the smug former official stated.

“But also, she doesn’t have any experience in intelligence. She never served in the intelligence community and the director of national intelligence is somebody who sits on top of the 18 departments and agencies and needs to orchestrate these agencies so that they collaborate, so that they coordinate, so that they’re able to pursue the national security priorities in an effective fashion, he blathered.

Pointing out a need to understand the “human intelligence, technical signals, geospatial intelligence,” Brennan claimed Gabbard “has none of that.”

Further, the so-called intelligence expert who played a major role in the Russia hoax against Trump in his first term as president, claimed Gabbard does not have “executive leadership experience” for the role of DNI.

“The professionals that are in these 18 intelligence agencies want to have confidence that the person who sits on top of them and that person by law is the president’s principal intelligence advisor, is going to be carrying out the duties in a qualified way,” he continued, laughably adding, “but also in an apolitical, objective fashion.”

He concluded his elitist perspective by accusing the former Democrat presidential candidate of “trafficking in conspiracy theories.”

Brennan’s holier-than-thou assessment, complete with smug self-assurance, earned him a swift beatdown on social media.

“John Brennan is the exact sort of lifelong Washington D.C. parasite who must be stamped out,” Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk wrote on X. “He’s a dishonest, authoritarian pig who thinks he has the right to lie to the American people at will and either ignore or rig the results of our elections. He belongs in a prison cell.”
