Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., said Tuesday that the Democratic Party was the “party of child sex trafficking” during a congressional hearing about the border crisis.
“The Democrats want to claim moral superiority and accuse of family separation policies,” Greene said. “Well they are the party of child sex trafficking, and the American people spoke out against that on the election.”
Prior to Greene’s remarks, Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Ill., slammed Republicans as hypocritical for certain remarks on human trafficking because under former President Donald Trump, families were separated at the border.
Greene argued that under the Biden administration, the cartels got control of the border, the vetting process was expedited and data was not shared with law enforcement.
The Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement held a hearing on the thousands of migrant children that have gone missing under the Biden-Harris administration.
Witnesses include Health and Human Services whistleblower Tara Rodas, Kathy Larin from the U.S. Government Accountability Office, former border patrol officer JJ Carrell, and human trafficking consultant Alicia Hopper.
“This administration has adhered to our enemies and allowed cartels and coyotes to make around $13 billion a year on human trafficking alone,” Greene said.
