I have to admit, I did not have MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski trying to cozy up to President-Elect Donald Trump again after their very public and oftentimes heated war of words post-2016 presidential election but here we are.

As RedState previously reported, the “Morning Joe” co-hosts announced Monday morning that after expressing “concerns” last Thursday about some of Trump’s cabinet picks and saying they would “appreciate the opportunity” to talk to Trump they “were given the opportunity to do just that.”

Though they talked at length during their Friday visit to Mar-a-Lago about many issues and disagreed on a lot of them, one thing they allegedly all agreed on was to “restart communications,” Brzezinski stated as she dramatically talked about the whole experience as though the fate of America rested on whether or not those lines of communications could be reopened.

The opportunistic couple, fresh off of portraying Election Day choices as a “matter of life and death,” with others on the network joining in on the Hitler comparisons, congratulated Trump “on running a ‘great and flawless campaign, one for the history books,'” according to the President-Elect himself who also insinuated it was time to move on from the long-running feud.

But for sufferers of Trump Derangement System, there would be no moving on:

Paid left-wing influencer “JoJoFromJerz” was particularly unhinged in her reaction, writing, “F**k Joe & Mika. F**k Morning Joe. And f**k MSNBC if they keep them on the f**king air.”

While I think it’s pretty obvious why Joe and Mika are doing this (ratings and money – they desperately need both), I think the reasons for the outrage behind their recent actions suggest something else: Not pure disdain for anyone who would break ranks with the liberal fever swamps to meet with (their) Public Enemy Number One but rather concern that the performative aspect of the TDS movement out there has just been exposed:

In summary, like many others in the media, “Morning Joe” can’t quit Trump – and, contra to their dire warnings from as recently as two weeks ago, they’re glad to have him back.
