President-elect Donald J. Trump was on the receiving end of a thunderous ovation Saturday night while making a triumphant return to Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Trump was on hand to watch the UFC 309 fight, along with an A-list entourage that included the likes of UFC president Dana White, Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kid Rock and sons Don Jr. and Eric.

Oh, and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) too.

It was the inclusion of the latter that spurred a post from U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), suggesting “MAGA Mike” will be running it back in the 119th Congress as speaker.

“I think MAGA Mike may make a return in the 119th Congress and i’m here for it,” Luna posted.

In an appearance on Fox News Sunday, Johnson sounded a lot like “MAGA Mike” when he voiced his approval of Trump’s selection for attorney general, Matt Gaetz.

“The reason that Matt Gaetz is such an exciting pick to so many people is because he will go in and reform the Department of Justice… We’ve seen the evidence of lawfare at the DOJ,” the speaker said.

Johnson was quick to plug his tag-a-long at UFC 309, posting on X: “After our long day of work & planning at Mar-a-Lago yesterday, the trip to @ufc 309 was a fun break. Great days are ahead!”

And there were plenty more photos of that nature floating around on X:

As for the MAGA faithful, the jury’s still out on whether Speaker Johnson is one of them or not.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X:
