You guys remember when Disney, IBM, Apple, and Comcast pulled their advertisements from X because they didn’t want their advertisements next to Nazi propaganda?

And then remember when Elon Musk came out and absolutely shredded them on stage at a New York Times summit?

[Warning: Language]

Welp, it looks like those advertisers – besides Apple – have finally realized their mistake in abandoning X, cuz look at this.

So good to have you guys back!

X’s former top advertisers including Comcast, IBM, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Lionsgate Entertainment, have resumed ad spending on the platform this year, albeit at much lower rates than before.

From January to September 2024, marketing intelligence platform MediaRadar found that these brands collectively spent less than $3.3 million on X. This is a 98% year-over-year drop from the $170 million spent during the same period in 2023.

These brands, along with Apple, paused their campaigns in November 2023 after their ads appeared next to antisemitic content and hate speech, exacerbated by X owner Elon Muskendorsing an antisemitic conspiracy theory, which spooked many advertisers.

Man, I just love seeing stuff like this. They pull advertising from X, X was fine without them, X has a hand in electing President Donald Trump (as they’re the only platform out there with free speech tendencies), and now these bimbo advertisers are back.
