Amid the simmering ethical scandal involving reports that the Kamala Harris campaign paid various celebrity figures to appear at rallies or conduct favorable interviews, skank rapper Cardi B was quick to claim that she received no compensation for her efforts to support the failed Democratic nominee.
The rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus and who once admitted to drugging men under the pretense of having sex with them so she could rob them, responded to a tweet from Candace Owens, who inquired about whether she was paid to speak at the Harris campaign event she took part in.
“I didn’t get paid a dollar and that’s on my three!! I actually came out of pocket for glam and travel because it’s somewhere I wanted to be,” Cardi B replied. “Like please girl you know damn well I’ll argue you down about politics FOR FREE.”

Oprah Winfrey, who held a September town hall with Harris, also denied reports that she was paid $1 million by the campaign shortly thereafter, the payout coming just before Winfrey appeared at Harris’ final campaign rally in Philadelphia.
However, Winfrey would soon clarify her Harpo Productions staff was paid by the campaign, which is now $20 million in debt.
“My time and energy was my way of supporting the campaign,” she said, according to The Wrap. “For the live-streaming event in September, my production company Harpo was asked to bring in set design, lights, cameras, microphones, crew, producers, and every other item necessary (including the benches and chairs we sat on) to put on a live production.”
“I did not take any personal fee,” Winfrey continued. “However the people who worked on that production needed to be paid. And were. End of story.”
However, as Megyn Kelly pointed out, the person being featured in events like this is not on the hook for set fees and staff salaries.
Kelly blasted MSNBC for the alleged ethical violations behind a report that Harris donated $500,000 to network host Al Sharpton’s National Action Network before a favorable interview, calling it a black eye to the profession that Sharpton did not disclose the payments.

There were rumors about Beyoncé receiving $10 million for her endorsement of Harris, and Megan Thee Stallion allegedly getting $5 million, though the usual suspects in the fact-checking brigade were quick to note that these claims are unsubstantiated. Other celebrities who made a public show of support for Harris include Bruce Springsteen, Lizzo, and Eminem.
The irony in what appears to be Kamala Harris paying for celebrity endorsements is that the New York Times admitted that they failed to “move the needle” for the Democratic nominee and may have even “backfired” on her.
Trump’s 3-hour-plus interview on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast proved to be a game-changer and the left is scrambling to come to grips with the reality that events like this appear to move the needle more.
As for Cardi B, social media users were quick to suggest that IF she wasn’t paid by Kamala she may be the ONLY celebrity who wasn’t.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:

You stuttered through an embarassing pre-written script on your cell phone.
Instead of delving into politics, maybe you should focus on finding ways to keep the men in your life faithful.
