The wife of a prominent leftist media writer murdered her own father with an ice axe on Election Night allegedly over an argument over lights.

Corey Burke, a 33-year-old training program manager at Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, later told investigators that she’d been trying to convince her father, 67-year-old Timothy, to turn the lights off in their home.

When her father refused, she snapped, in part because of the highly emotional state she’d be in per the election.

“Corey stated [that when] her father started arguing with her, about the lights being shut off, that she ‘just freaked out,’” Seattle detective Azrielle Brikey wrote in charging documents, according to the Seattle Times.

“The defendant told Detectives that she knew that she could not convince him to keep the lights off, so she went upstairs retrieved an ice axe tripped her father, strangled him with the axe and her hands, and then bit him and hit him several times in the head and side with the blunt and sharp ends of the ice axe,” a case summary by the Seattle prosecutor’s office reads, as reported by The Independent.

Afterward, she “sat down next to her father and watched him die, then smashed all the windows in the house in what she described ‘as an act of liberation,’” according to the New York Post.

Police were dispatched to the area after they received a report about someone (Burke) breaking the windows of a home.

When they arrived on the scene, they found Burke “clapping … because she was so happy,” according to charging documents.

The documents also state that she’d previously been working on establishing emotional boundaries with her dad. She’d wanted to help others “change their attachment to their parents” but complained that she felt “hyper-focused and disorganized” regarding her own father.

Burke has since been charged with first-degree murder and is now being held at the King County Jail on a $2 million bail as she awaits her Nov. 21st arraignment.

Burke’s “wife” meanwhile is Samantha Leigh Allen, a “transgender woman” writer who’s produced content for leftist websites like The Daily Beast and is currently an editor at Them, a transgender news site.

According to Wikipedia, which falsely lists Allen as some sort of “journalist,” he met his wife while studying at the Kinsey Institute.

In 2014, Allen raised $8,000 from random strangers on the Internet for transgender surgery.

A year before that, Allen wrote a piece for Kotaku in which he admitted to having been introduced to masochism by a date.

“We’re finally alone,” he wrote. “What’s next? I discover that she has secreted away a shoebox in the corner of her closet, something special that she’s been saving for this occasion. She carefully uncovers it while I stare eagerly over her shoulder. Inside is a motley collection of leather straps ripped off of purses, jackets, and shoes.”

“Stripping her clothes off, she explains to me precisely how she wants me to use them. Put this one here and this one there. Connect this one to that one. Pull. Harder. She wants it to hurt. My introduction to masochism was sudden and brutal, much like pain itself. But it also became a feature of my sex life ever since, whether I’m the one getting spanked or the one literally pulling the strings,” he added.

And lastly, Allen is a proud misandrist who openly hates men.

“[I]’m a misandrist,” he wrote in a 2014 blog post. “[T]hat means i hate men. i’m not a cute misandrist. i don’t have a fridge magnet that says, ‘boys are stupid, throw rocks at them.’ my loathing cannot be contained by a fridge magnet.”

“[I] am not an equality feminist. i don’t believe that an asymmetrical world will be cured by polite obsequence to male-dominated systems. i am not a liberal humanist. i don’t believe that i need to stand up for men when they’ve been standing on top of everyone else,” he added.

With psychotic freaks like this in her life, is it any wonder Burke snapped and killed her own father?
