Don’t ever change, climate alarmists. You hypocrites driving around in SUVs while telling others to drive a 0.4-horsepower Prius.
With your celebrity spokespeople scolding we plebians as you jet-set across the globe in CO2-emitting private planes, and your never-ending effort to look down your noses at others who just don’t give a bloody rip about carbon taxes.

Don’t ever change.
Climate nerds at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change (COP29) Conference being held in Baku, Azerbaijan, spent the early part of their panel discussions talking about how they could tax meat in an effort to force people away from the apparently ozone-depleting food group.
Willem Branten, public affairs and policy officer at the True Animal Protein Price (TAPP) Coalition (yes, that is a thing), demanded the EU Commission, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and China lead the way in implementing what amounts to a “sin tax” on meat.
Branten, who looks exactly as you might imagine, called on “the use of at least 20 percent of their revenues for … pricing mechanisms to finance the loss and damage fund so that we can pay for the damages done by our past consumption of meat and animal proteins.”
Branten added, “This is why we want to make the polluter pay.”
“[UN climate conferences] can only be successful if the closing statement includes transitioning away from animal protein… by implementing greenhouse gas emission pricing mechanisms in agri-food systems.”

“We also urge the use of at least 20% of the revenues… so that we can pay for the damages done by our past consumption of meat and animal proteins. This is why we want to make the polluter pay.”
– Willem Branten, public affairs and policy officer at the True Animal Protein Price Coalition, speaking at COP29.
Make the polluter pay.
Well, damn. If that’s what we’re going with, it looks like there are a bunch of global warming crazies who are going to be paying. At least, if this video from COP29 is any indication.
The video is courtesy of Marc Morano, publisher of Climate Depot, who is reporting on-site from the U.N. conference. Morano, a former communications director for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee under the George W. Bush administration, caught something very peculiar.
Attendees lining up rows deep for two separate buffets that serve meat. All the while, the vegan buffet is looking pretty barren.
LMAO – Climate scolds demanding everybody stop eating meat are lining up for the meat buffet and skipping over the vegan buffet.

There are roughly four people in line at the vegan buffet side of things. And perhaps a tumbleweed or two that blows through. One can almost hear the Western music with the whistling as Morano pans away from the hypocrites and over to the herbivores.

“Here is the line at COP29’s food court for the buffet serving meat … another buffet serving meat, and here is the vegan-only restaurant,” Morano says. “Doesn’t quite look like the same amount of interest by the U.N. delegation here.”
RedState spoke to Morano, who slammed the hypocrisy emanating from the UN.
“The United Nations in the climate agenda are demanding a great food reset. Not for them, but for the rest of us — the masses,” he said.
“Despite calling for a meat tax and a war on agriculture with massive restrictions on meat, the U.N. climate summit is selling massive counts of every type of meat to you and delegates who are greedily gobbling it up,” he added.
In another clip, Morano points out that the menu at COP29 is selling some pricey burgers ($14.71) and chicken burgers while also offering a vegan burger ($16.47).

Morano wonders why they would bother to offer the meat version at all, considering it’s so bad for the environment that they have to “restrict (it) for the rest of us.”

He then films himself about to enjoy a hot dog with real beef at the summit, a menu item Morano says is “selling like hot cakes.”
Morano tells RedState that NetZero climate initiatives are little more than a masquerade for the rich to enjoy life’s pleasures while forcing others to pay.
“This is just another example of how NetZero is nothing short of the Sovietization of the once free,” he explained. “Private jets, lavish mansions, and plenty of meat for those who rule over the rest of us.”
