Neil Crossley is the father of bride Amy Totty. He was pretty excited on her wedding day over in England – so excited that he very confidently walked halfway down the aisle solo before realizing he had forgotten his daughter.

I’m sure the wedding nerves got to him, but as he’s the father of the bride, I just have to say:

YOU ONLY HAD ONE JOB!

Glad that venue employee was there to save the day!

And I hate to break it to the bride, but those are not tears of overwhelming emotion that the groom is wiping from his eyes, those are tears of laughter.

The bride also took the mishap with good humor, telling SWNS,

I especially appreciated it as I was trying very hard not to cry, and he helped me compose myself. It was a special moment none of us will forget.

See, even when dads aren’t actively planning and executing jokes, they’re making people laugh with their goof-ups.

Once the embarrassed dad did go back for the bride, everyone enjoyed a good laugh, including the bride, and they got some pretty sweet pictures out of the ordeal as well!
