Yesterday, the Los Angeles Police Chief said he will not work with ICE to deport criminal aliens. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass also announced she is working with the city attorney to turn the City of Angels into a haven for illegal immigrants.

You would think these people would focus on the zombie apocalypse or the fact that they have some of the highest homeless numbers in the country but I guess protecting foreign nationals is more important to them than “housing” American citizens.

According to ABC:

With President-elect Donald Trump set to take office in January, L.A.’s immigrant communities are bracing for his promised crack down on undocumented migrants. While the city of Los Angeles has prohibited the use of its resources from assisting federal immigration authorities in past years, a sanctuary ordinance would formally codify such policies.

“Especially in the face of growing threats to the immigrant communities here in Los Angeles, I stand with the people of this city,” Bass said in a statement. “This moment demands urgency.”

LOL. Out of all the urgent things Los Angeles needs to focus on I don’t think protecting illegal aliens is one of them. Additionally, enough with these people equating “undocumented migrants” with “immigrant communities”.

The mayor added that immigrant protections make “our communities stronger and our city better.” She also thanked Feldstein Soto for her work and said she is looking forward to working with Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson and Council members Nithya Raman, Hugo Soto-Martinez, Eunisses Hernandez and others to enact protections for the city’s immigrant communities.

No one is talking about immigrants and it’s disingenuous that these politicians solely intend to gaslight the public to make it seem like they are the compassionate ones when they are anything but.

It’s not compassionate to safeguard protections for foreign nationals at the expense of the people you take an oath to represent. And it’s not compassionate to lie to your constituents as if Trump is out there about to deport American citizens.

Leftist compassion is the antithesis of it.

“Solidarity is an action, not rhetoric. Los Angeles stands together,” Bass said in her statement.

More often than not, “solidarity” is definitely rhetoric and not “action.”

What is even the point of this? Isn’t California already a “Sanctuary” haven for criminal aliens? Does this commie really need attention that bad? And are city officials really that dumb that they believe their crap?

Out of the top 1,000 things that Los Angeles should prioritize, this is not one of those things but hand it to progressives to make an issue out of a nonissue and make Americans worse off because of it.

It’s unclear how many more people will be harmed because of these progressive policies but you can be sure it will affect the most vulnerable people and to call that evil would be an understatement.
