DOES NO ONE AT PLANET FITNESS CLEAN THE TANNING ROOMS??

A missing man was discovered dead in a Planet Fitness tanning bed Monday three days after he walked into one of the gym’s locations in Indianapolis, authorities and loved ones said.

The body of Derek Sink, 39, was found around 9 a.m. – about four hours after the fitness center opened for business, according to reports.

The gym was open all weekend. It was then open for four hours on Monday before they found a rotting corpse that had been there for multiple days while everyone was exercising.

A woman who visited the gym Monday morning told WTHR a foul smell was wafting through the building before the body was found in the tanning bed.

‘The tanning bed has a door, I believe, but still, why are we not concerned that the tanning bed has been closed for three days, potentially?’ Elizabeth Len said.

The day before, Sink was reported missing by family who had not heard from him since Friday, the Indianapolis Star reported, citing police records.

So why did a 39-year-old guy die in a tanning booth? Well, Sink’s family says he had struggled with a drug addiction. A needle was reportedly found in the tanning bed room next to him.

Planet Fitness said it has “robust operational brand protocols in place” and is “working closely with our local franchisee to ensure they are upholding those brand protocols.”

Yeah, I’m gonna need more than corporate word salad to explain why no one noticed a guy was decomposing in their gym for an entire weekend WHILE THE PLACE WAS OPEN.

Oh, I guess that might explain it…
