President-elect Donald Trump met with outgoing President Joe Biden on Wednesday in the Oval Office during Trump’s first trip to Washington since his second election.
The two chatted briefly and discussed their commitment to a smooth transition of power.
“It’ll be as smooth as it can get, and I very much appreciate it,” Trump, 78, told Biden, 81.
“You’re welcome,” Biden said smiling.
From The New York Post:
Trump entered the White House through the South Portico, bypassing hundreds of journalists who had gathered outside the West Wing in the hope of hearing from the once and future Commander-in-Chief.
Prior to arriving at the White House, Trump addressed jubilant House Republicans, who have claimed a majority for the next two years.
