The reality was basically set in stone, but this Monday night update from Decision Desk was welcome nonetheless:
Decision Desk HQ projects that Republicans have won enough seats to control the US House.
The GOP really did a number this year, my friends:
Republicans saved some of their most vulnerable incumbents, like Reps. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) and David Valadao (R-Calif.), while defeating several vulnerable Democratic incumbents. State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Pa.) unseated Rep. Susan Wild (D-Pa.), while businessman Rob Bresnahan defeated Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.).
With control of the White House, both chambers of Congress, and a 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court (and potential chances to expand that number in the next 4 years), the MAGA platform has a very rare window of opportunity to enact its reforms.
Good job everyone. Great showing this year. Let’s make it count.
