“He’s really bad being Hitler,” my son mused in a text this morning about the following story.

President-elect Donald Trump, in a Saturday post to Truth Social, offered the help the Democrat Party pay off the campaign debt of Vice President Kamala Harris.

I find that somewhat profound, given the vile bilge and abject lies about the now-president-elect that were parroted throughout the bitterly-fought 2024 presidential campaign. From “Hitler” to “fascist” to “racist” to “white supremacist,” the baseless attacks against Trump were never-ending.

Yet, here’s Trump’s offer (emphasis, mine):

I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over. Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do. We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was “Earned Media,” and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Yes, the president-elect made the offer in classic Trumpian style, but the question is whether he truly means what he wrote. I believe he does, for the reason he stated. This country remains ripped apart, and Trump is now in a unique position to help it heal — in a demonstrative, actionable way, vs. lip service,  which is customarily thrown about by both parties after an election.

The Harris-Walz campaign ran through roughly a billion dollars like a hot knife running through soft butter, which is ironic as can be, given the Democrat Party long history of spending our money like drunken sailors.

Here’s more:

Kamala Harris’ failed presidential campaign spent six figures on a podcast appearance that attracted a mere sliver of the viewership President-elect Trump scored by showing up on comedian Joe Rogan’s show, according to a new report.

Harris spent the megabucks from her $1 billion war chest building a set for her interview with Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the Washington Examiner reported. Her interview was reportedly filmed in a Washington D.C. hotel room.

Trump’s Oct. 25 appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” already has over 47 million views on YouTube, while Harris’ showing on the raunchy women’s sex and relationship-focused podcast has just 813,201 views since being uploaded Oct. 6, Fox News reported.

Rogan has said he was in negotiations with Harris’ team for her to appear, but the plan was scrapped after she refused to travel to his studio in Austin, Texas.

Not exactly the kind of president we desperately need, huh?

Skeptics Abound

Within minutes of Trump’s Truth Social post being shared on X (formerly Twitter), the TDS-riddled crowd erupted, suggesting that Trump’s true motive was to further embarrass the Democrat Party. I don’t buy it. Yes, Trump is a shrewd and effective marketer:

Trump’s “job” at Mc-Donald’s after Vice President Harris falsely claimed she had worked at the burger chain back in the day, and his ride to a campaign rally in a garbage truck, decked out in an orange vest, no less, after Joe Biden idiotically called Trump loyalists “garbage,” were brilliant moves that the Harris-Walz ticket simply couldn’t touch.

While Trump has a history of unforced errors, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz repeatedly make him look like a piker, with their latest unforced error at any given time being worse than the one before it.

The Bottom Line

So here’s the salient question. Will the Democrat National Committee (DNC) and/or Kamala Harris accept Trump’s benevolent offer, or will they pridefully cut off the arrogant noses to spite their radical left faces?

My gut tells me the latter.
