President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are expected to meet at the White House next week to discuss details about the transition, according to reports.

The Washington Times reports that Biden and Trump will meet on Wednesday at 11 a.m., according to the White House, although Trump’s team has not confirmed that.

Biden said the transition would be “peaceful and orderly.”

“I will do my duty as president,” Biden said Thursday. “I’ll fulfill my oath, and I will honor the Constitution. On Jan. 20, we will have a peaceful transfer of power here in America.”

Earlier this week, Trump won the 2024 presidential election, winning both the popular vote and the electoral college.

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris conceded and confirmed she had already spoken with Trump following her defeat.
