When it comes to selecting Cabinet members for President-elect Donald Trump’s second term, you can’t have too much of a good thing.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis floated the idea of making one of his state’s “great things” the new Secretary of Heath and Human Services under Trump: Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo. He posted the suggestion on X, advising users to retweet the post if they liked the idea, essentially serving as a temperature check of the public.

In a tweet on Wednesday following Trump’s decisive victory, Ladapo posted a message of hope for the future.
The future of health freedom looks brighter today.
Just as in Florida, it’s time to say ‘No’ to trampling on people’s rights, to gaslighting citizens about experimental vaccines that harm instead of help & to muzzling doctors who dissent with orthodoxy. Light triumphs over…

“The future of health freedom looks brighter today,” he wrote. “Just as in Florida, it’s time to say ‘No’ to trampling on people’s rights, to gaslighting citizens about experimental vaccines that harm instead of help & to muzzling doctors who dissent with orthodoxy. Light triumphs over darkness.”
Dr. Ladapo became somewhat of a hero in conservative circles for his advice against using mRNA COVID vaccines at a time when the popular position was to encourage Americans to take the jab so lockdowns could end. A press release from September issued by the Florida Department of Health indicates he still maintains these views.
“Based on the high rate of global immunity and currently available data, the State Surgeon General advises against the use of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines,” the warning reads. “Any provider concerned about the health risks associated with COVID-19 for patients over the age of 65 or with underlying health conditions should prioritize patient access to non-mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and treatment.”
Judging by the responses on X, people are into the idea:

He and RFK Jr. against Big Pharma will be generational.

One of the very few who stood up against the rushed Covid vaccines. Get this man a job.

Yes. Put RFK junior as the assistant sec. as a lot of decision making and power lies with that position too, too but give the medical/scientific head post to an MD/PhD like Ladapo.

Dr. Ladapo would be the PERFECT choice for Secretary of HHS in a Trump admin.

Ladapo for Surgeon General & RFK for HHS, but any combo of that would be amazing.

This is absolutely how we do it!
