Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos offered “big congratulations” to President-elect Donald Trump after his epic election victory against Vice President Kamala Harris.
The billionaire and Washington Post owner sparked furor at the leftwing paper when he reportedly backed the editorial board’s decision not to endorse Harris or any 2024 presidential candidate ahead of Election Day.
“Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory,” Bezos wrote Wednesday in a message posted to X.
“No nation has bigger opportunities,” he added. “Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love.”

Andy Jassy, president and chief executive officer of Amazon, also congratulated Trump.

Bezos wasn’t the only Big Tech leader to congratulate the 45th and soon-to-be 47th president as others soon chimed in, many laying the groundwork to get on Trump’s good side for future collaborations.
We have great opportunities ahead of us as a country,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote on Threads. “Looking forward to working with you and your administration
OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman wished Trump “huge success in the job” in a post on X, adding in a separate post, “it is critically important that the US maintains its lead in developing AI with democratic values.”
“We are in a golden age of American innovation and are committed to working with his administration to help bring the benefits to everyone,” wrote Google CEO Sundar Pichai on X.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said he looks forward to “working with their administration to advance America’s technology and manufacturing leadership in the world,” while Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google, wrote on X, “We are in a golden age of American innovation and are committed to working with his administration to help bring the benefits to everyone.”
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said they were “looking forward” to working with the new Trump administration.

However, a message from Apple CEO Tim Cook seemed to spark some backlash online.
“We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity,” Cook wrote, earning USA flag emojis from Musk.

“Last month, the president-elect said that ‘if Tim Cook didn’t run Apple, if Steve Jobs did, it wouldn’t be nearly as successful as it is now,’” according to the Daily Mail. “The two met in 2019 to discuss Trump’s tariffs on certain imports from China, which greatly impacted Apple, which ended with Apple agreeing to invest in U.S. manufacturing for its Mac Pro.”
Cook reportedly made multiple visits to the White House in President Joe Biden’s term.
But X users soon unloaded their comments after the CEO’s message to Trump, criticizing Cook for “interfering with the election since 2016.”
Tim Cook and Apple trying to make up ground with Trump so he plays nice with them as President.
They tried to help Harris win though.

You and Apple have interfered in this election since 2016 starting with the Russia Gate BS which was false and most recently Siri only showed a picture of Kamala’s face when asked about the 2024 general election. Justice is coming. I can’t wait for X to make a phone that will not…

Apple has a long way to go to build back trust.
It took Elon, and several others, to help break the circle.
Apple never led the way.
