Democrats will never know if they would have avoided a crushing defeat if they had stuck with Joe Biden but it’s now obvious that switching horses three months before the election was a total disaster.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was the architect of the coup that dumped her party’s own incumbent in favor of his bumbling veep Kamala Harris, who was widely seen as a laughingstock, and many will pin the blame for Donald J. Trump’s landslide win on her, maybe they already are.

Pelosi, who has practically been invisible as Kamala’s campaign entered a doom loop, showed up at the sore loser’s belated concession speech at Howard University where she was spotted in a heated conversation with former DNC boss and ABC News talking head Donna Brazile with the exchange going viral on social media.

It’s uncertain what the two were arguing about but it’s inconceivable that Brazile would have previously mixed it up with the powerful Pelosi, a vindictive woman who is feared like a mob boss.

The spat led some X users to offer their opinions on what it may have been about.

Biden had insisted that he was the only Democrat who could beat Trump but Pelosi’s obsession with keeping the newly elected president from ever setting foot in the White House again led to his panicky overthrow and the undemocratic installation of Harris without a primary process.

It blew up spectacularly. And Pelosi knows it.

“Elections are decisions,” Pelosi told the Guardian last month on the move to pull the plug on Biden. “You decide to win. I decided a while ago that Donald Trump will never set foot in the White House again as president of the United States or in any other capacity … So when you make a decision, you have to make every decision in favor of winning … and the most important decision of all is the candidate.”
