I wasn’t sure we would be at this point on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning with the race called already, after all the talk of it possibly taking days.

President Donald Trump won in resounding fashion, in a historic, decisive comeback. He did it with a lot of help, with hard work, with belief it could be done, in the face of everything, even an assassin’s bullet. He spoke to his supporters in Florida and thanked everyone who had helped including the millions of American people. He committed himself to work for all the people with the great team he had assembled.

So what happened with Kamala Harris and her team as this was happening?

She had folks waiting at the watch party at Howard University for hours. Then, she never even bothered to show up for her people. She just had co-chair Jen O’Malley Dillon announce telling everyone to go home until the morning.

They were also refusing to make any further comments to the press.

Then Cedric Richmond did a John Podesta 2.0 in almost the exact words he said when Hillary Clinton didn’t want to talk to her own supporters after learning the news in 2016.

Now, that’s really cowardly of Kamala Harris and, quite frankly, disrespectful not only of her opponent but her people. If she couldn’t even deal with that, how could she ever have dealt with anything truly tough if it came from foreign leaders?

It was a throwback to 2016 in another way: the shell-shocked looks on the faces of the Kamala folks.

MSNBC reports Kamala’s victory party “turned off the TV set and just piped up the music because the room was starting to get increasingly somber.”

They were in such denial they muted the TVs when they spoke about the states they lost.

Then, many bailed, and they didn’t want to talk.

Perhaps the icing on the cake for the night was that the lying Kamala HQ account stopped posting early in the night and went silent. Breaking 911 wondered if they had been fired since they hadn’t posted in hours.
