Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott (R) has taken a lot of heat for his actions on the southern border, with critics arguing that he was all hat and no cattle, but there can be no arguing the fact that Abbott’s decision to start bussing illegal immigrants north was a stroke of genius.
In a quest to start letting blue sanctuary states feel some of the pain, the busloads of foreign nationals who had no regard for our immigration laws put the issue on the front page — it also resulted in many Democratic precincts opening public coffers to receive the migrants and assure an easier transition while struggling Americans looked on in dismay.
All of which is believed to have had a significant impact on the 2024 presidential election, as noted by NewsNation’s Chris Stirewalt, who said Tuesday night that if former President Donald Trump wins he owes Abbott a “big wet kiss.”
“What is the message from the results in New York City if the progressive agenda was something seen as desirable with her getting the lowest number we’ve seen since 1988?” host Chris Cuomo asked after highlighting Harris’ dismal victory in the Big Apple.
Donald Trump should send a “big, old wet kiss” to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for sending migrants to cities around the country, Chris Stirewalt says. Stirewalt discusses how that played a role in the outcome for Harris in New York despite her still beating Trump:… pic.twitter.com/xSQgZbyjZr

“Donald Trump, if he does win this election, should send a big wet kiss over to Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, who innovated the idea of dumping migrants into New York City and Chicago and big cities all over the country, and he made it a problem for those other people,” Stirewalt replied. “Instead of it being localized in Texas, he made sure to spread the pain around.”
Trump not only reached the magical number of electoral votes to be declared the winner, but he also won the popular vote hands down by a count of nearly 5 million and counting.
And he did so after advocating for the mass deportation of illegal immigrants — more than 10 million entered the U.S. during the Biden-Harris administration and Harris campaigned on pursuing a pathway to citizenship.
The American people let their voices be heard loud and clear Tuesday evening on Kamala’s plans to create one-party rule in the United States.
