An interview Vice President Kamala Harris conducted with a popular web show this past summer went so poorly that it never aired, the New York Times reported on Monday.
Harris sat down with Kareem Rahma, host of the popular TikTok and Instagram show “Subway Takes,” which features celebrity guests defending an uncommon or unpopular viewpoint. Rahma was initially told that Harris was set to argue against taking off shoes on airplanes, though when the two actually sat down, he was informed that Harris was instead going to argue that “bacon is a spice.”
“I don’t know,” Rahma reportedly said in the unreleased interview, according to a summary of the transcript from the New York Times. “Think about it, it’s pure flavor,” Harris reportedly shot back.
Rahma then reportedly paused the interview and asked to revisit the agreed upon topic, at which point Harris instead opted to talk about how she likes anchovies on pizza. “Well, I’m 100 percent unsure on both of those,” the host replied before the conclusion of the video.
