On Election Day, the tale will be told whether Democrats made the right decision by pulling the plug on malfunctioning Joe Biden and handing the nomination to Kamala Harris.

While the votes have yet to be counted, there are already excuses being floated if the left’s greatest nightmare comes true and the American people put former President Donald J. Trump back into the White House.

If Harris loses despite having the entire media behind her, fingers will be pointed, and according to Politico, many of them will be wagging in the direction of the octogenarian who stubbornly refused to step aside until he was forced to.

Strong numbers and collapsing enthusiasm for Kamala have some whispering in dread that the once-unthinkable may happen, with Barack Obama’s former campaign manager admitting that things could be looking “scary” if there’s not an overwhelming turnout for Harris who isn’t anywhere nearly as inspiring as his ex-boss.

In its Political Playbook feature, the left-leaning outlet talked to a number of unnamed “campaign hands, lawmakers and other political pros” in advance of what it called the “recriminations battle” if the Kamala gamble fails to pay off.

“Already, most Democratic officials we’ve spoken to agree: If anyone should get the blame for a Trump win, it’s Biden,” wrote Politico D.C. correspondents Rachel Bade and Eugene Daniels. “The president’s insistence on running again at age 81 — and taking weeks still to bow out following his abysmal debate performance — cost Harris precious time, they say.”

It wasn’t mentioned in the piece but Biden’s trashing of Trump supporters as human “garbage” last week was a triple whammy when he single-handedly destroyed the fake outrage campaign over comic Tony Hinchcliffe’s poorly received joke about Puerto Rico at the former President’s Madison Square Garden rally.

Biden’s remarks on a Zoom call for a Hispanic get-out-the-vote group stole the attention from Harris’ big primetime speech from the Ellipse, the symbolic site of Trump’s J6 rally while at the same time, showing that his veep’s pledge to be a unifier is as much malarkey as when he did the same thing during the 2020 campaign.

There was also plenty of blame reserved for the vice president, who after being swapped out with Biden failed to distance herself from his policies with one example being Harris’ appearance on ABC’s “The View” where she told the squawking harpies that there wasn’t anything that she would have done differently than Joe.

Not only did she not define her own identity, but she eventually adopted Biden’s vicious rhetoric about Trump and his supporters, likening the GOP nominee to Adolf Hitler.

Another reason why Harris would be responsible for her own loss was her choice of Minnesota Gov. “Tampon Tim” Walz as her running mate, a lying weirdo who largely got the nod because Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is Jewish and it would have cost her dearly with the Democratic Party’s rabidly anti-Semitic base.

According to Politico, “That’s not just because the Keystone State is a must-win — though, let’s be clear, a Pennsylvania loss will throw the second-guessing into warp speed — but it would have sent a strong early signal to swing voters that she was willing to stand up to her party’s left flank, some of whom had questioned Shapiro’s outspoken support for Israel.”

Not named in the Playbook article was one top surrogate, “Shark Tank” personality and NBA owner Mark Cuban, who may have blown up Harris’ efforts to appeal to Republican women – who he suggested are weak and dumb – one reason why she has teamed up with malicious former GOP congresswoman Liz Cheney.

If Trump wins, the Democrat meltdown will be nuclear, surpassing even the day after the “unbeatable” Hillary Clinton’s crushing loss in 2016 and poor old Joe will be a popular scapegoat.
