Three people were killed Tuesday – including two poll workers — in flash flooding in Missouri.
The two poll workers, a man and a woman in their 70s drowned, while trying to swim to safety after their vehicle was washed away, according to Fox Weather, which cited information from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
A third fatality was an adult female who drove her car into floodwaters, but police are still investigating the woman’s exact cause of death.
Torrential rains pounded the state, smashing November rainfall records, flooding streets and homes and forcing closures across the state.
