Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón is down 25 points against his challenger, Nathan Hochman, just before Election Day, according to a new poll.

According to the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies and Los Angeles Times poll, 50% of 1,205 likely voters would cast a ballot for Hochman, an independent and former federal prosecutor, while 25% would support Gascón, a former LAPD assistant chief, if the election were held today.

The survey’s results show that 25% are undecided.

Gascon has survived two previous recall attempts over a two year period.

Critics of Gascon point to rising crime rates in Los Angeles under his tenure.
