You really shouldn’t worry if Arizona takes days, and days, and days to count their ballots. At least the Washington Post doesn’t want you to grow suspicious.

According to the Democracy Dies in Darkness folks, we may have to keep the democratic results in darkness a little longer because Arizona has a long ballot.

Yeah. It’s two pages long. So there’s no way we can actually count the ballots on election day …

Election officials across the state worry that this unusually long ballot could lead to a host of problems on and after Election Day in the key state that could determine the outcome of the presidential election …

Here are all the problems Arizona is expecting on election day.

Don’t worry, for the last 4 years Arizona has done nothing to help their elections go smoothly, but this year they made sure it was going to be much worse.

But you’re not allowed to criticize them for doing a crappy job. That would be election denial.

All of this could fuel the misinformation and criticism of the voting system that Maricopa County now experiences each election cycle …

It always takes days for election workers around the state to process the hundreds of thousands of ballots dropped off at polling locations on Election Day or in the days leading up to it. This year, officials say it could take 10 to 13 days.

Again …. it’s not misinformation to say that Arizona needs to get their vote counting crap together. Is it?

Because I kind of thought it was common sense. Especially when larger states like Florida can do early voting, mail-in voting, and in-person voting and get all the results in on election night.

Sorry WaPo and Arizona Dems. The criticism of Maricopa will continue until the elections are fixed.
