Have you ever wanted to play a fantasy adventure game where you get lectured about pronouns and gender theory? Well, look no further than Dragon Age!

Let me set the stage. This lady with the horns (Taash) says she identifies as a “they”:

Well, when a female pirate character accidentally refers to said horn-lady as “she,” this happens:

[Warning: Language]

Yep, the did pushups to atone for the sin of correctly referring to a woman as a woman instead of using third-person identifiers.

There’s an entire quest to help Taash come out as “non-binary” (what a stupid term):

Woke grammar nazism in action. Isn’t it fun??

For the non-gamers, Dragon Age is a major A-list game series created by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts in 2009. The first game sold more than 3.2 million copies within several months and the third game has sold more than 12 million since its 2014 release.

The series has previously featured gay romances and has had no problem showing upper nudity or dropping F-bombs, but for this fourth game, the developers went full-bore into the woke cult, even allowing players to be transgender.

And it’s no wonder, considering many of the developers were men pretending to be women:

As has happened with every other movie/book/film that went woke, the gender preaching completely destroys the storytelling.

These games are supposed to let players tell their own stories: Choosing your own adventure makes you think even deeper about good vs. evil and your purpose in the midst of things. As CS Lewis said, such stories point to the human condition and God’s True Myth, which is why we want to be immersed in them.

(Or do you think a dark fantasy series about a broken world where heroes rise up to fight evil demons who took the mortal shape of dragons after rebelling against their Maker has no parallels to the real world?)

In that sense, the worst violation of purpose that Dragon Age: The Veilguard commits is forcing players to accept the developers’ woke religious beliefs instead of letting them wrestle with questions on their own.

In earlier games, the Dragon Age series let players literally sell their squad mates into slavery. Now, you can’t misgender someone!

And that kind of dumbing down of the story and lore can be seen everywhere.

Anyway, I’ll leave you with a totally random thought.

Isn’t it funny that this Taash character has the same name as the demonic god of the Calormen in Lewis’s Narnia series?

Tash the inexorable, the irresistible
