Maybe she thought no one would notice.
Vice President Kamala Harris pulled a 180-degree turn on her stance on immigration, vowing to deport illegal immigrants in her campaign’s closing speech Tuesday.
Harris’s hypocrisy was on full display as she ripped into former President Donald Trump and delivered promises that sounded like they were straight from her opponent.
“Politicians have got to stop treating immigration as an issue to scare up votes in an election and instead treat it as the serious challenge that it is that we must finally come together to solve,” Harris said during her speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C.

“I will work with Democrats and Republicans to sign into law the border security bill that Donald Trump killed,” she claimed.
“When I was attorney general of a border state, I saw the chaos and violence caused by transnational criminal organizations that I took on,” Harris continued. “When I am President, we will quickly remove those who arrive here unlawfully, prosecute the cartels, and give Border Patrol the support they so desperately need.”
Her vows smacked of pandering for votes as she has previously shown no interest in any of the policies she was spouting, spending her time as a senator and vice president advocating for allowing more migrants to enter the U.S.
“I am in favor of saying that we’re not going to treat people who are undocumented and cross the border as criminals,” she said in 2019 during an appearance on “The View.”
Where was this the past 4 years?
FACT CHECK:
Kamala Harris on day 1, worked with Biden to undo all of Trump’s border security policies.
And then she wanted a “bill” to do it.
If she can take it away without a bill why does she need one to do it?https://t.co/9wH4dgNGa8

She called for starting “from scratch” with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and said “Being an undocumented immigrant is not a crime” in a 2019 interview.

During a recent CNN town hall, Harris struggled when Anderson Cooper confronted her about calling Trump’s border wall “stupid.” And CNN even took a look at the number of times Harris mocked the wall.
Is Kamala Harris serious and trustworthy when it comes to her Border Wall position?
CNN reports a review that showed over 50 instances of Harris against the Border Wall.
… and now Harris is using the Border Wall in her own ads? So which is it? pic.twitter.com/7k73D2ohsn

Not surprisingly, Harris’s flip-flopping stances earned her scathing reactions on social media.
Kamala Harris could’ve done this the last four years by not cancelling President Trump’s executive actions that kept our border secure

What BS.. KH said she wants to give illegal aliens amnesty and now she says she’s going to remove them.. which one is it lady?

She has had 4 years to prevent unlawful crossings. Instead, her administration encouraged it. Now we’re supposed to believe that she’s going to deport them all when they don’t even like to call them “illegal immigrants.”
