David DePape, who attacked Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Tuesday after a separate state trial.
He is currently serving a 30 year federal prison sentence after a San Francisco jury found him guilty in June of charges including first-degree burglary, aggravated kidnapping and false imprisonment of an elder.
“It’s my intention that Mr. DePape will never get out of prison, he can never be paroled,” Judge Harry Dorfman said, according to the Associated Press. “I don’t feel sympathy for you. I feel sympathy for the victim in this case, who’s lucky to be alive.”
