Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance on Tuesday tore into the Harris campaign’s depiction of her as a “change” candidate and asserted that former President Donald Trump rightly deserved that moniker.

“If we give this person four more years in the Oval Office, it’s going to be more of the same,” he said. “It’s going to be more of the broken policies on the economy. It’s going to be more shipping Michigan manufacturing jobs. It’s going to be more of the high prices, and it’s going to be more of the broken southern border.”

“So let’s get out there and vote for a candidate of change. Let’s get Donald J. Trump back in the White House now,” he added.

During his remarks in Saginaw, Michigan, Vance recalled Harris’s recent appearance on “The View” in which she could not point to an instance where she would have made a different decision than President Joe Biden.

“And two weeks ago, she goes on ‘The View’, and this is a softball of all softball interviews, right?” he said. “Every single one of these people is voting for [her]. They’re having her on the show to help her to try to distance from Joe Biden, and they ask her this question, softball question: ‘Kamala Harris, would you have done anything differently over the last four years?'”

“And she kind of looks in the distance and goes, well, ‘nothing comes to mind now,’ in defense of our illustrious vice president,” he went on. “That could be the campaign motto of the waltz camp, the Harris-Waltz campaign. Nothing comes to mind. Think about it. What? What is Kamala Harris going to do to fix the broken border? Nothing comes to mind. What is Kamala Harris going to do to lower the price of groceries? Nothing comes to mind.”

“It’s actually the perfect campaign slogan for a campaign that has no substance at all,” he quipped.
