As it turns out, climate-change virtue signaling has consequences.

If you missed it, a bunch of chatter about whales was triggered by Donald Trump’s recent comments about offshore windmills on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Here’s more on the ongoing investigation into whale deaths:

While military sonar and shipping are more disruptive than our current offshore wind farms, one has to wonder what the unseen environmental impact of “green” energy is in the long term. We already know that such farms kill birds, and while studies show house cats are far more deadly in that regard (not to mention fossil fuels), the birds killed by wind farms are often endangered predators.

Wind turbines also have been criticized for their short working lives and subsequent retirement to dumps.

Trump’s comments on Rogan’s podcast came within the context of listing downsides to “green” energy in the long-term and the need to deregulate/innovate in the nuclear field to make environmentally-friendly energy production possible.

Instead of voting for environmental solutions that make us feel good, we should probably vote for solutions that actually work.

Vote MAGA, save the whales?
