A few months back, we told you about this pickle sandwich fad coming out of Long Island: A sandwich with a halved pickle in place of the bread.

We called it “foodie blasphemy,” “a low-carb fad,” and essentially pickle breath manifested in a sandwich.

Well, it looks like Jimmy John’s is hopping on this fad, if only for a limited time.

Okay, now I feel pressured to go out and try this thing. Or maybe we’ll have Planet Moron do the taste-test.

The Picklewich will be available to customers nationwide starting Oct. 28 through Nov. 14 in two options, both with typical sub ingredients inside a giant hollowed-out kosher dill pickle …

And to pair with the pickle sandwiches, Jimmy John’s is bringing back the fan-favorite Pickle Jimmy Chips, pickle-flavored potato chips.

The Picklewich is available at participating locations, and you only have a 17-day window to get your hands on one.
